BOUNDARY COMMITTEE
The way council services are provided in Devon looks set to change with the Boundary Committee proposing a single unitary authority to replace the current system of county council, district, city and borough councils.
It's a proposal backed by Devon County Council which has submitted a detailed report to the Boundary Committee outlining predicted savings and the introduction of grass roots local community boards.
